Summary
binomial(n, 2 l) summed to floor(n/2), and binomial(n, 2 l + 1) to
floor((n - 1)/2): each is 2^(n - 1) for n >= 1, the two halves of
2^n being equal since their difference is (1 - 1)^n; at n = 0 the
even sum is 1 and the odd one is empty.
