Summary

E1(w) = e^(-w)/(w + 1 - 1/(w + 3 - 4/(w + 5 - ...))), by the modified Lentz method.
Used where w is at least 2 out and away from its cut, the negative real axis, and
there it takes at most a couple of hundred steps.
